I am confused using the Advisor Window?
There are two windows one utilizes when using AntiSpyware 2006:
- Advisor Window - If the Advisor Window and the User Interface are on your desktop, you can make the Advisor Window go away by clicking 'Continue What I Was Doing'. You'll now be able to user the User Interface.
However, you can go directly to parts of the User Interface from the Advisor Window:
- Scan
- Restore
- Options
- Support
- User Interface - This is the primary interface for managing and controlling AntiSpyware 2006.

Are Cookies really a Threat?
Sometimes. Cookies are a really useful tool, but they can be abused. We allow you to choose if you'd like AntiSpyware 2006 to identify all cookies on your system or not. Also, you can advise AntiSpyware 2006 to simply ignore Cookies that are useful and you consider safe.
To instruct AntiSpyware 2006 to not consider Cookies a Threat, go to the Options panel and select 'NO' for Scan Cookies.
To advise AntiSpyware 2006 to 'ignore' some cookies, go to the Remove panel, select those cookies that you trust and select 'Ignore'.

What are Safe Ads?
Safe Ads are ads that do not install any adware, spyware, or tracking cookies on your PC just because you clicked on the ad. Safe Ads also do not collect any personally identifiable information. The ads themselves do not use much of the Antispyware 2006 interface and you might not even know they’re there at times. Most importantly by allowing ads to be presented, we are able to offer our award-winning application for free.

Can I make the Scan Shorter?
Yes, you can. Just select Quick Scan on the Options panel. Please be aware though, for AntiSpyware 2006 to do the best job of protection for you, we advise a Full Scan.

Can I stop the startup Auto-Scan?
Certainly. Just go to the Options panel and select 'NO' for Open at Startup.
Please note that you should do a SCAN at least once a week, for the best protection possible.

Should I join the Network?
Absolutely. No other AntiSpyware will protect you as quickly from new Threats as AntiSpyware 2006. You will put yourself at risk if you disable CyberDefender ability to protect you fully.

Can I 'fix' an item I removed?
Sure. If you 'Removed' an item, that you truly need, you can simply 'Restore' it. Go to the Restore panel.

Do I have to manually update AS2006?
Not at all. The CyberDefender Network is the most active, aware protection offered. Your software will be automatically updated on your behalf within hours of any Threat having been identified.
Of course, you can manually request an update, but it is likely you'll already been running with the best protection available today.
